more NAHBS 2011.....

Funny thing is, I was eager to see the pix from the show, and although there are some really cool looking bikes, I have to wonder, how far can the form of the bicycle be taken?

Seems that nearly all the "show" bikes are intentially overdone. On a one level, I think you have to take it for what it is, a bike art competition. On the other hand, the show gives new builders a chance to reach a broad new audience and showcase their skills.

From what I can tell from the pix, it was more of the same themes from last year, hardtail 29ers, urbanesque cruisers and city bikes, stripped down artsy, uncomfortable track bikes, and touring rigs with racks and flasks.
