As it sits right now, the actual chainstay length is around 16.75".  The seat tube relief gives the tire some extra clearance (enuf for size 2.3 tires).

The initial shakedown ride in the neighborhood was VERY promising....instantly comfortable, a perfect fit and extremely nimble...the bike disappeared beneath me.  I'd say Walt nailed it!

Now I just need to get some proper saddle time on it to get fully acquainted...  :)
