Money that comes from the sale of this firewood in the campground at Pocahontas is directly benefiting the park and the Friends group. By helping to split firewood, we are funding the trail maintenance and other park events and helping to keep the park from going under. Right now the state parks of VA are faced with budget cuts that are laying off staff, cutting programs and pushing maintenance issues further behind schedule.
