USNWC

With all this travel for work to Charlotte NC, I figured it was time to make time to check out the trails...

...about 20mins from downtown (uptown) is the US National Whitewater Center.

Besides the whitewater boating facilities (largest man-made recirculating river with class II-IV rapids), Catawba River access, the tree/rope course with zip lines and the festivals, there is also about 11 miles of well marked singletrack trail.

Goat Trail

Trails are maintained and built with help from the Tarheel Trailblazers.

The trails are mostly fast and flowy with some roots and a few techy sections.

There's a newer section of DH bermed trail with tabletop jumps and doubles.

Figure 8 Trail
The Point Trail
Definitely worth a re-visit and worth checking out if you're in the area.  Parking was $5 for the day, or you can buy an annual pass.  Also night riding friendly :)
