homebrewing is lots of work

Not quite as easy as going to the supermarket and picking out your favorite microbrew....

It's rewarding though.

Beer began in the homes of the people in Europe around the 7th or 8th century, so you could say that today's homebrewing is really a return to the "roots" of beer (except that hops weren't used extensively until more modern times).

It is nice to enjoy something you made yourself...

whether it's beer, a fine meal, or a grown from seed vegetable...
