Anglers' Ridge trails sampler

Did a little short ride Tues after a business meeting in Danville. Time was short, but I wanted to check out the trails at Angler’s Ridge since I was so close.
Tucked back on some land that runs along the Dan river, the trails are flowy and fast with lots of roots and short climbs. I only had about 20mins to check out a small bit of the trails, but there appears to be over 20 miles of singletrack that winds thru the system, color coded and easy to follow.

Worth a trip back to explore.

The poor old town of Danville used to be a thriving industrial town, with tobacco and textiles dominate. The downtown area now is more of a ghost town, made up of the shuttered Dan River mill (textile) and empty tobacco warehouses. Corporate america ruined this town by moving these jobs to other countries…kind of a shame really. Maybe one day this area will be revitalized again….
