Seems all the leaves came down last weekend w/ the high winds...trails were a little hard to navigate, but w/ Ethan riding my rear tire, I did my best to lead the pack thru Lakeview trails at a decent pace....
Night riding has some great benefits, especially this time of the year when daylight is in short supply - the mid week nite ride is sometimes the only ride I get. Being the "coordinator" and ride leader for the local club night rides at Pocahontas can sometimes be a little bit of a p.i.t.a. but nights like tonight definitely make it worth it. It's nice when the group is cohesive and of equal pace - everyone had a good time and mechanicals were minor, except for Tom's broken Ti seatpost, post root-slip-crash, hidden by leaves....sorry Tom! Maybe we do need to take a leaf-blower to the trails....?
